Zero's eyes opened. he felt numb. He looked down and saw a metal belt was wrapped around his waist. He couldn't get off the bed now. The top half of the bed was up a bit witch increased the struggle. He tried wrenching the belt off but couldn't.
Then X walked in. "Morning Zero." He said sitting next to Zero on the bed. "Hey X... why is this belt on me...? I feel so confined..." Said Zero. "I know just bare with me." Said X. He held Zero's hand.
"The reason why the belt is on you is to keep you still during serguries." Said X. Then he realized what he had just did. His hand flew up and covered his mouth. "S-Serguries...?" Said Zero.
"D-Don't worry. I'll be with you the intire time. I promise." Said X. He kissed Zero's cheek. Zero looked at X, fear in his eyes. X noticed this. "Zero, I promise everything will go smoothly." Said X.
Zero shook his head as he placed it against X's chest. "Geez, ever since Sigma disguised himself as a doctor and got to be your surgeon for that surgery, you have been actign scared ever since." Said X.
"I know..." Said Zero. He was trembling. X felt his clothes getting wet. "Hush... It's okay..." X said softly. Zero nodded. "Alright... I'll trust you on this one..." Said Zero. "Good." X responded.
X rubbed Zero's back. He felt his clothes growing wetter and wetter. "Hush... It's alright..." Said X quietly. Zero eventually fell asleep. X gentally placed the blonde's head back on the pillow. He kissed his cheek.
"I'll be right here when you wake up..." Whispered X with a smile. He watched Zero sleep, and eventually he zoned out. How is Iris still alive? And why did she look like a Basnhee? She couldn't possible have gotten the Banshee Virus, could she? Thought X.
Eventually the sun got into the right position to shine right into X's eyes. He snapped out of his little dream land and looked at the clock. 12:00 PM. Noon. WAIT WE'VE BEEN ASLEEP FOR 5 HOURS!? Thought X.
He shook Zero lightly. "X...?" Said Zero. "Hey..." Said X. "Hey X... When is the first surgery?" Asked Zero. "Umm... At 3:00 PM which is 3 hours from now." Said X. "Okay..." Zero smiled. "You'll be here when I wake up right...?" Asked Zero.
"Yeah... Of course... I'll be the first thing you'll see..." Said X. X leaned close to Zero. He whispered into his ear. "I love you..." X whispered. "I love you too..." Zero responded. X then kissed Zero. They stayed in that posistion for a while.
When X withdrew, they both were panting lightly. X grabbed Zero's hand and gave it a re-assuring squeeze. Zero smiled once more. "Thank you X..." Said Zero. "No problum... I know how you are afraid... So don't worry." Said X.
X climbed onto the bed with Zero and wrapped his arms around the blonde repliod. They fell asleep like that. Zero didn't mind it. And neither did X. They were just happy to be together.
